Established in 1959, Kimbla-Mantana has its roots in the luxury
tented safari traditions of Roosevelt and Hemingway. We concentrate on
private, tailor-made safaris which capture the essence and romance of the
earliest days of the African safari – with the luxury and comforts of the
modern age and an emphasis on personal service.
Kimbla-Mantana operates in Kenya, Uganda & Tanzania with bases and offices in Nairobi, Entebbe and Arusha. We specialize in luxury, mobile tented
safaris mixed with private lodges and permanent camps, using our own staff,
vehicles and equipment.
We have three sales offices; Nairobi, Kenya, Paris, France & Albuquerque in the US. The partners are Lis and Tony Farrell running the East African
operations, based in Nairobi, Kenya, Justina Sutphin running the US sales office based in Albuquerque, US and Gautier de Pazzis running the French sales office based
in Paris, France.

Lis and Tony, who have operated safaris for over thirty five years
grew up in East Africa. Their childhoods were spent in remote areas where
safaris and camps were a basic part of growing up and adventures in the bush
almost a daily occurrence. Justina’s upbringing and unmatched enthusiasm for
remote places, animals and peoples, gained from her parents’ love of the wild
and her extensive African travels has, over the years, given her a wealth of
experience of the safari world. Gautier’s guiding of safaris for much of his
working life has given him an extensive knowledge of East Africa and its
wildlife whilst his professional experience has given him a broad understanding
of the industry as a whole.

and expert team to make your safari a memorable success and their enthusiasm
for East Africa’s people, wildlife and landscapes is reflected in every safari.
